The bankruptcy is probably the best choice for you. I have over 20,000 pounds, so I totally agree with you. However, I am living in full time employment with adequate wages, and even with their parents, so I manage my debt is currently a plan for debt management. I decided that the VAT would have affected it as my job (I work) for a financial institution. If you receive the payments reasonably short term, then the best will be to manage debt. Tax sounds like a simple solution, but it is generally frowned upon. A VAT means about 75% of its debt written off, or they have not taken full responsibility and return the full amount. Debt Management: Debt is so divided that you can afford the monthly payments, but when the repayment will be paid until the entire debt to continue. It sounds terrible, but it is much more likely to be accepted for credit in the future.
However, if you are not a job, then bankruptcy is the only option in his current situation. Please do not worry, there are no jobs that pay Enough - the management of debt, which they function, what you can afford based on your monthly income and expenditure. If you pay £ 100 per month, how to repay the loan until you can afford to pay any more. Interest and charges be frozen, even if creditors are not legally required to accept reduced payments, your only way to bring him to trial and it would cost more money, which is unlikely to do.
Of course you did not mention if you backed up your debt or unsecured ... I sincerely hope it is a guarantee and is not in danger of losing your home! I am acquainted with the secured claim, and if this is the case, I suggest you speak to Citizens Advice Consumer Credit Counseling, or as soon as possible. Good luck ... Believe me, there is a way out of debt.
